Core layer

Wear layer

The wear layer protects the wood, stone, or ceramic image layer. Once this transparent surface coating is worn, the image becomes damaged. Thus, it's best to choose a thick wear layer brand since it determines durability. A 20+ mil surface layer is ideal.
