The budget-friendly floors come with depth, dimension, textures, and finishes. The vinyl is cut into square, tile-sized pieces, called LVT flooring. Vinyl plank refers to the material being cut to mimic hardwood floorboards.
Durability for kids, pets, and heavy foot traffic
This material is layered five times thicker than the original product. A top, transparent, melamine wear layer protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, and dents.
LVF is entirely waterproof. It can be submerged or spilled on without concerns of staining, peeling, rippling, or curling edges.
At the very top is a clear urethane coating. It adds extra strength and shine to your luxury vinyl plank or tile.
Luxury doesn’t equal high maintenance
All this flooring needs is regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Sweep under cabinets and in corners where dirt hides.
The mop should be damp, not wet. Use a manufacturer-approved cleaner and avoid waxy-shine-promoting cleaners.
Uncomplicated installation
LVT and LVP can be installed via the glue-down or floating floor technique. Any subfloor is acceptable, as long as it's clean, dry, and level.
